Images can be precisely overlapped so that they can be aligned and "spliced" together.
This is useful for creating an image as a composite of smaller images such as a panoramic view taken as a series of
photographs.
Similarly if an A4 scanner is used to scan a larger document by using multiple scans, then the resulting scans can be
joined together using Image Splicer to recreate the original document.
Simply depress the button of a clipboard to select one of the 12 clipboards.
SAVING IMAGES
Images that are copied to the clipboard can be automatically saved to the hard drive.
Pressing "ALT-Print Screen" will copy the image of the currently displayed window to the clipboard.
As each screen capture is performed Smart Clip automatically saves the image in the clipboard as a sequentially numbered
file name of your chosing.
PASTE FORMATTED TEXT AS PLAIN TEXT
Extremely useful when copying text from one formatted document to another.
Usually when formatted text is pasted into a document the text remains in it's original style.
The font and paragraph settings of the text may need to be changed before the text matches the document.
By enabling the plain text feature of Smart Clip the original formatted text is converted to plain text
at the time the text is copied to the clipboard.
Because the text in the clipboard has no formatting it will automatically be formatted according to the
style in the document that the text is being pasted into.
If you have ever tried to copy lots of text from one document to another you will know how much time this
can save by not having to reformat the text each time it is pasted.
(or not having to paste the formatted text into Notepad and then copy and paste it).
The Smart Clip window is a tool window that floats over the top of other windows so that the controls
can be quickly accessed.
